AN ACCESSIBLE SAFARI ACROSS KENYA: CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF LOVE In October 2025, Lorna Safaris had the privilege of curating a deeply meaningful Kenyan Safari for a special couple celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. The journey was thoughtfully designed with accessible travel in mind, as the husband is a wheelchair user. Our priority was to ensure comfort, dignity, and a truly immersive safari experience from start to finish. The journey began in Nairobi, with a visit to the Giraffe Center and the  Sheldrick Wildlife Trust , a gentle and inspiring introduction to Kenya's conservation efforts. From the beginning, we provided a custom-modified Safari Jeep, adapted for easier access, secure seating, and smooth travel across varying terrains.  A SAFARI IN THE SKY  As a Travel Agent, I have had the privilege of experiencing some of Kenya's breathtaking destinations  but nothing quite prepared me for the serene magic of a Hot air Balloon Safari over the Savannah. If you are searching for a truly unforgettable way to explore  Kenya's wild heart, this is it. The Day Begins before Sunrise At 4:30 AM, my group and I gathered in hushed excitement, wrapped in fleece jackets and anticipation. The early wake-up call was softened by a warm cup of Kenyan coffee and the soft chatter of others equally eager for the skyward journey. We were in Amboseli National Park , one of the most iconic and scenic reserves in Kenya.
